Stainless Steel Wire Rings

Composition

Stainless steel wire rings are made from bright light drawn stainless steel wire equivalent to Aisi304 specification.

Production

The wire is passed through straightening rollers before forming into rings to give a more consistent shape.

After forming the ends of the rings are welded together using a modern welding technique to produce a smooth weld. This welding technology does not produce any sharp surplus metal. Because there is no surplus metal to be removed there is no abrasive surface in the weld area and this reduces the risk of damage to the filter bag during operation.

Ring Diameters

Rings can be supplied in any diameter within the range of 100mm and 750mm. Smaller rings can be produced from the thinner wire sizes.

Wire Dimensions

Currently four stock dimensions of wire are used. These are:

• 2.50mm
• 3.00mm
• 4.75mm
• 5.00mm

We are happy to supply rings made from other dimensions of wire and occasionally have small quantities of other dimensions surplus from customer’s special requirements.

We are also happy to discuss enquiries for rings manufactured from different grades of stainless steel wire.

Galvanised Mild Steel Wire Rings

Composition

Galvanised mild steel wire rings are made from a medium drawn wire with either a drawn wiped or hot dipped finish.

Production

The wire is passed through straightening rollers before forming into rings to give a more consistent shape.

After forming the ends of the rings are welded together using a modern welding technique to produce a smooth weld. This welding technology does not produce any sharp surplus metal. Because there is no surplus metal to be removed there is no abrasive surface in the weld area and this reduces the risk of damage to the filter bag during operation.

Ring Diameters

Rings can be supplied in any diameter within the range of 100mm and 750mm. Smaller rings can be produced from 3mm and thinner wire sizes.

Wire Dimensions

Currently two dimensions of wire are stocked. These are:

• 3.00mm and
• 4.00mm

We are also happy to discuss enquiries for rings manufactured from different sizes of galvanised mild steel wire.

August Holiday Date

Monday 30 August 2010 is a national holiday in England. Salpark will therefore be closed for the day. We will close at 13:00hrs on Friday 27 August 2010 and re-open on Tuesday 31 August at 08:30hrs.

ISO9001:2008

On 19/01/10 SGS audited Salpark’s ISO9001 quality system and confirmed that it complies to the new requirements of the updated ISO9001:2008 quality standard.

Accreditation is currently being processed and the new ISO9001 certificate will be issued in the near future. Any customer requiring a copy of the new ISO9001:2008 certificate should request a copy from Salpark.
